ACLU Northern California 2020 Annual Report

I was able to partner with the ACLU of Northern California to illustrate the cover art for their 2020 Annual Report. In addition to the cover art I worked on a series of illustrations to accompany editorials. The cover depicts a young black woman processing monumental events in the year such as the protests and elections while also celebrating the legal victories of the ACLU.

Many of the issues that plague the nation happen where I reside- Northern California. The I.C.E camps, police violence, immigrants’ rights, and civil rights… they all are happening here and its important to speak up and stand up for those who fall victim to these institutions of oppression. It was great to have my art contribute to the mission of the ACLU and inform their supporters on the progress made in 2020.
