This all started in my art book, 2015. Read up on the blog post here. 7 years later my Petal Blocks took form as play sculptures.
Sankofa - A West African symbol prominent in my work. It translates into “learning from our ancestors to know where we are going”. These pieces allow for connection through play. Reinforcing the function and practicality of my work.
