The Bridgeyard Coloring Book and Art Installation
(2019) The Oakhella collective produced a community festival to kick off the grand opening of the Bridgeyard event space. As part of a community engagement initiative and partnership with East Bay Parks and Recs, I created a coloring book and facilitated a live painting installation for the attendees.
This was my first experiment creating large coloring pages on vinyl banners that were 4x6 ft tall. I used tempura paint which allowed for the pages to be washable and reusable. The result was a glorious mess for families to enjoy live painting.
The Coloring Book
The coloring book featured 8 pages that explored the wildlife of the East Bay. Its composed of 4 classic activities and 4 original drawing exercises.
